Note to self, its not smart to walk across freshly paved (within the last 30 minutes) asphalt with flip flops on. Jon called a taxi to Happy Telecom (where we get our phones), so we ran over there, only to find that they are paving the road right in front of it. So we walk down the street rapidly, and I'm stupid enough to say, "Well, I saw some ladies crossing it, so it can't be that bad."
Famous last words, huh?
So Jon takes the stroller and runs with Jacob across, leaving me with Caitlynn. We make it to the middle of the strip, where my flip flop promptly gets stuck down, and I step down onto the asphalt. OW.
The traffic begins to move again, and I grab my shoe and try to run to the other side without getting us killed.
So, now that we are home, I cleaned most of the tar off my foot, and luckily, only one area is swollen and blistered in a tiny spot.
Meh.

so what do you do when your kids want to irritate each other?
Summer is really starting to get to my kids. And me, if the truth be told. I think its time to start a new list of summer boredom busters.
1. Playdoh
2. water play (kitchen sink)
3. finger paint
4. mega lego building
5. playground time
6. puzzles
7. read a book
8. crafts
9. towel skiing (aka mop the kitchen floor)!
10. build a tent
I need some new ideas. there are only so many times you can use these ideas in a row, without someone getting bored. What kinds of things do you do to keep your kids from purposely irritating each other?

quick drive by
Gotta make this quick, in case Daddy can't settle little man down!
Sorry for the lack of attention my blog has had- its kinda busy around here these days! :P I suck at remembering to post things on a certain day, so I think a couple of hours of writing posts and scheduling when they got out is coming due.
Tomorrow, I get to go out, all by myself, and go to AFTB level 1 training. (Army Family Team Building, for you non-military peoples). The LtCol actually gave Jon the next two days off, so he could stay home with the kids. (insert jaw drop here). Yes, he actually got the time off.. lol So from 9am to 4pm tomorrow and Thursday, I get to learn and re-learn all sorts of fun things, most of which I probably already heard about or knew, but I'm sure there's tons of things I don't know about. And probably some overseas specific items, too, that I wouldn't have a clue about. I'm excited, I get to talk to adults! :P
Caitlynn had her first dance class since last November today. Well, if you can call two little girls a class. We have found an instructor who is graciously giving lessons each week for a drastically reduced price, in her apartment. Works out pretty well, cause she doesn't have furniture yet, and there is lots of beautiful wood flooring. Here are a couple of pictures from class-
Anyhow, since I get to leave the house tomorrow, I'm going to go snuggle up to my honey, and try to not leave him a to do list! :P
